Alice Rose is a superb 10ft wide, wide-beam lying at Packet Boat Waterside & Marina. Conveniently located 15 minutes from Heathrow and the M25/M4, with the Elizabeth Line station of West Drayton 10 minutes away.
At 55ft long x 10ft wide she is less expensive to moor than standard wide beams and due to an ingenious interior layout she feels spacious and airy. The 2017 hull is from Dave Clarke Boats of Nottingham and fitting has been completed to a high standard with amazing attention to detail.
-Main entry is via double doors onto a small landing and descending two steps into the saloon which extends approx 13ft to the galley. It is open plan with a 3 seater chaise lounge/bed, sideboard with storage and a fitted cabinet from which the 12 volt television rises and the CCTV and 4G antenna controls are centred. There is both central heating and a Morso solid fuel stove with stone surround and log store below. There are six 240 volt electric sockets which include USB charging sockets. The saloon is light and airy as a result of the electric Webasto sky light (with integral shade and fly screen) and 4 large double glazed windows. There is a naturally cooled small cellar and storage areas below the landing and stairs. A coat cupboard conveniently beside the front doors and a security grill cleverly secreted within the panelling allows for the doors to be left open in summer, but the boat remain secure. There is both task, LED and wall lighting able to create a cosy feel or banish winter darkness.
Galley: Approx 9ft long
- L shaped galley with granite worktops, throughout, creates a breakfast bar. The galley has a clever wine glass chandelier. The 4 ring gas insert hob with tile splash back, is above the Belling dual oven/grill. There is an extractor fan/light and shelving. The double carosel storage is supplemented with a pull-out larder storage rack. Drawers, a double cupboard and two 12 volt fridges provide considerable space and there is a Neff slimline dishwasher. The double inset sink faces the double glazed window, and the breakfast bar has access to the glazed hatches. The gallery is light and airy due to the placement of a second Webasto electric sky light. There are three double 240 volt electric sockets which include USB charging sockets.
Shower room: Approx 7ft long.
- At the full width of the boat this spacious and wall-through design maximizes space. Contemporary worktops for the sink and dressing area are throughout and a 12 volt socket. There is again plenty of storage, including a mop store which has an integral Dyson v8 vacuum cleaner and charger and the spare Thetford cassette chemical toilet. A standard shower boasts a dedicated extractor, lighting and large shower head. The bathroom is warm with a contemporary radiator as well as an architectural boat towel rail. There is a Thetford cassette toilet and the plumbing is present for a washing machine and tumble drier, without impinging on usable space.
Main Bedroom: Approx 9ft long.
- By elevating the floor around the standard double bed, the owners have created a significant amount of storage space, under the floor, under the ottoman bed raised on double gas cylinders and under the steps leading to the stern deck there are three double full height wardrobes.
Bow: The bow locker contains storage for two 12KG gas cylinders, with leak detector and supply switch. There is storage around the cylinders. The foredeck is raised for a substantial fresh water tank and access. The owners have cleverly designed the steps so that they fold away creating a cosy space for two and there is a folding shelf for drinks. Mains hook up point.
Stern: The large stern has fitted oak seating and an external store that doubles as the step onto the roof, past the wind turbine. The roof and gunnels have been coated in anti-slip. Access to the engine bay is via a hatch. Within the engine bay is the 75L Webesto calorifier with integral electric immersion heater, a bank of 6 new leisure batteries and further storage space. There is also a mains hook up at the aft.
Sustainability: Alice Rose was designed to be for sustainable living/cruising. Fitted with 6 large solar panels (and room for more) there is also a wind turbine. The Vitron Multiplus inverter allows the boat to run without mains for significant periods, as usage can be monitored via a smart device. Where ever possible 12 volt has been used.
