Cruising from Wigrams Turn Marina

Located at Napton Junction, where the Oxford Canal meets the Grand Union Canal, Wigrams Turn offers one of the most connected cruising bases in Warwickshire.

Oxford Canal - The Oxford Canal journeys through 77 miles of picturesque scenery from Oxford to Coventry. One of the things that draws cruisers to this canal is its unspoilt, peaceful route.  It’s managed to avoid any large-scale developments, so not many towns have sprung up on its banks. The southern section is especially pretty.

Grand Union Canal - Spanning a distance of 137 miles with branches to towns along the way, the Grand Union is the trunk route of Britain's canal network. It runs from London all the way through the Chiltern Hills and up to Birmingham, with a huge variety of landscapes, wildlife, architecture, and history to discover along the way.

1 Day Cruise: Wigrams → Crick

Begin your journey at Wigrams Turn Marina, a peaceful starting point for a relaxed cruise northward. The full journey to Crick takes around 8 hours.

As part of your journey, if you're an annual moorer, you can take advantage of our Explore 100 benefit and enjoy a free stay at Crick Waterside & Marina (Please call ahead to check availability).
